About:
Haworthia Retusa Variegated is a small, rosette forming succulent perennial, up to 4 inches tall. The leaves are very thick, triangular, translucent and green in color which grows up to 3.1 inch long and up to 0.8 inch wide. Flowers are small, tubular and white in color, in racemes up to 20 inches tall, in late spring to summer. It also produces offsets, which form in clump around the mother plant. Haworthia Retusa Variegated are tiny low maintenance perennial succulents which can last for many years and are often grown on window sills or added to cactus gardens.
Planting Media: Use soilrite mix thoroughly mixed with sand and pebbles (1-1.5cm). The soil mixture must be well drained.
Water: The best way to water succulents is with the “soak and dry” method. Soak the soil completely then let the soil dry out completely before watering again. And make sure the succulents are in a well draining soil in a pot with a drainage hole.
For indoor succulents, it is generally best if water doesn’t get on top of the leaves. If it sits on a leaf for too long it can cause rot. This isn’t as much of an issue for outdoor succulents because there is more airflow and the water will dry out quicker.
Sunlight: Even though most species can tolerate full sun, these succulents thrive in semi-shaded positions. Place the potted plant in a bright area with some protection from the hottest rays of the day.
