About:
Echeveria runyonii ‘Topsy Turvy’ is a fun succulent. This Echeveria works well as ground cover, in rock gardens, and even on green roofs. It is also deer resistant. It produces small offsets, sprouting up around the base of the plant. This succulent has grey-green, long leaves that grow outward and then curl back towards the stem less rosette. It grows very quickly, and is easy to propagate. Echeveria runyonii ‘Topsy Turvy’ produces orange and yellow flowers in fall.
Planting Media: Use soilrite mix thoroughly mixed with sand and pebbles (1-1.5cm). The soil mixture must be well drained.
Water: The best way to water succulents is with the “soak and dry” method. Soak the soil completely then let the soil dry out completely before watering again. Make sure the succulents are in a well draining soil in a pot with a drainage hole.
For indoor succulents, it is generally best if water doesn’t get on top of the leaves. If it sits on a leaf for too long it can cause rot. This isn’t as much of an issue for outdoor succulents because there is more airflow and the water will dry out quicker.
Sunlight: It does well in full to partial sun. We need to plant in an area of your garden that gets 6 hours of sunlight a day. If planting indoors, place in a room that gets a lot of sunlight.
