About:
Zephyranthes Candida also commonly known as autumn zephyr lily, white wind flower and swamp lily is a species of rain lily. Its leaves are deep glossy green and measure 3 mm wide. Flowers, which bud late in August, at first resemble a new leaf, but emerge from their papery sheaves to a stunning whiteness; they are erect in perianth white and sometimes pinkish abaxially. The species is widely cultivated as an ornamental and reportedly naturalized in many places. Like all rain lilies, they are known for blooming only after heavy rains. These summer-flowering bulbs are from the Amaryllidaceae family which can fit in any garden. Mass plantation outside gives beautiful performance.
