About:
A new and distinct Guzmania hybrid named ‘TINTO’ is characterized by solid growth habit. It has a funnel-form rosette plant, measuring about 21 cm in height (above the pot when flowering), numerous, relatively narrow, green color foliage, measuring about 23 cm in length and about 2.0 cm to 3.5 cm in width. Its’ bracts have a unique wine red color, round, singular inflorescence, measuring about 6 cm in height and about 13 cm in diameter which distinguishes this cultivar from typical Guzmania.
Flowering season: Summer
Planting Media: Soilrite mix would be a perfect planting medium for all kinds of plants. If required pebbles (1-1.5cm) can be added to the mix to make sure the planting medium is well drained.
Water: Water most bromeliads enough to keep them moist, but never wet or saturated. You’ll find many bromeliads are drought tolerant and survive if you forget to water them from time to time.
Sunlight: Indoors, most bromeliads grow best in medium or bright light. Some can take direct sun on their foliage, but others prefer the protection of a sheer curtain or translucent blinds if grown in a sunny window.
