Gloriosa Lutea grows from 5-6 feet high producing many yellow lily-like flowers of exceptional beauty over an extended period. They are also known as ‘Yellow Gloriosa Lily’. They belong to the Colchicaceae, the autumn crocus family. All parts of this plant are poisonous. The same are suitable for potting and are long lasting cut flowers.

Planting Media: Use ordinary garden soil thoroughly mulched with sand and well decayed cow manure. The soil must be well drained.
Water: Keep watering till the new growth appears and keep the soil moist but not soggy.
Sunlight: Prefers sunny to partial shade part of your garden or indoors.
Pot Culture: Use 8 inches pot for each tuber. Plant the tubers horizontally covering the entire tuber 3 inch below the planting media. Keep the pink eyes of the tuber at least 10 inch apart if planted in the garden. Gloriosa need a support to climb. When in full bloom support for the flower is useful.
