Alocasia colocasia Black Magic is an evergreen perennial bulb which can transform your garden with this strikingly beautiful plant. It is commonly known as Black Elephant’s Ears. This popular perennial makes a wonderful statement with its heart shaped, purple black leaves. It requires a warm, frost free, sunny or partly shaded area to thrive. Keeping it in direct sunlight will help in getting a better result in order to get its best coloring. It is ideal for shallow ponds or boggy areas and must not be allowed to dry out.

Planting Media: Use ordinary garden soil thoroughly mulched with sand and well decayed cow manure. The soil must be well drained.

Water: Water once to twice a week should be enough.  It loves water therefore we need to keep the soil moist enough but not wet.

Sunlight: It does best in partly shady places but can also handle full sunlight.

Pot culture: One bulb can be planted in an 8 inches pot for proper growth.
