Achimenes are related to the familiar Victorian favorites, African violets, and this variety exhibits similar coloring as some of these gems. Achimenes Pulcherrima is one of the cultivar of Achimenes species which produces dark amaranth purple flower blooms with frilly edges. Pulcherrima is a very good bulb for landscaping sun drenched areas of your garden. Achimenes is an amazingly delicate and bright decorative flower that will luxuriously decorate your home, become an elegant addition to the interior and exterior. Climatic conditions in our regions turned achimenes into a houseplant.
