Myrostigma

Myrostigma is a species of cactus which is also known as a star cactus because the transverse parts of the stem generally the adult plant are star shaped having five ribs with dots on it. The attractive yellow flower that blooms on it adds beauty to the cacti. As compared to the other cacti it is easy to handle because it is thorn less. So if you ever had a wish to grow cacti but feared because of its thorns, this cactus would be perfect for your collection.

Flowering Season: February- April

Planting Media: Use soilrite mix thoroughly mixed with sand and pebbles (1-1.5cm). The soil mixture must be well drained.

Water: Need to water once a week .While watering give the soil a good soaking, so that the water runs out of the drainage holes of the pot.

Sunlight: It is suited for sunny-brightly exposure, but can tolerate light shade. However it will do its best with lots of sun and become stressed with inadequate light which could result in poor growth and unnatural shape. It has a good heat tolerance.
