Achimenes species are known by many common names such as Magic Flowers, Widow’s Tears, Cupid’s Bowers, and Hot Water Plants. Achimenes are related to the familiar Victorian favorites, African violets, and this variety exhibits similar coloring as some of these gems. Achimenes peach blossom is one of the cultivar of Achimenes species which produces gorgeous light pink funnel shaped flowers which grows from 1 to 3 inches in diameter.  Achimenes is an amazingly delicate and bright decorative flower that will luxuriously decorate your home, become an elegant addition to the interior and exterior. Climatic conditions in our regions turned achimenes into a houseplant.

Planting Media: Use ordinary garden soil thoroughly mulched with sand and well decayed cow manure. The soil must be well drained.

Water: Water judiciously during growth period. Avoid over watering during dormant period.

Sunlight: It prefers partial shady places with bright indirect light.

Pot culture: Use 6 inches pot to plant 10 bulbs keeping even spaces between them for proper growth.
