Achimenes species are known by many common names such as Magic Flowers, Widow’s Tears, Cupid’s Bowers, and Hot Water Plants. Achimenes are related to the familiar Victorian favorites, African violets, and this variety exhibits similar coloring as some of these gems. Achimene Snow white also known as Snow Princess is a snowy cultivar which offers wide faced pure white blooms that refuse to be limited to a single look. Sometimes the blooms are accented with tiny purple or pink throats. Snow Princess blooms from midsummer through autumn and may be brought inside to be enjoyed as a houseplant in the cool months.

Planting Media: Use ordinary garden soil thoroughly mulched with sand and well decayed cow manure. The soil must be well drained.

Pot culture: Use 6 inches pot to plant 10 bulbs keeping even spaces between them for proper growth.
