Haemanthus albiflos is the best known of the three evergreen species of Haemanthus and with its handsome leaves, long flowering season and red berries is an excellent choice for shady spots in the garden. Haemanthus albiflos is a very variable plant growing up to about 250 mm high when in flower. The oblong leaves vary in color from pale to dark green or grayish-green and are usually smooth and sometimes shiny. They may occasionally be covered with short, soft hairs, or have yellowish spots on the upper surface. The upper half of the bulb is usually exposed above ground and is bright green.

Planting Media: Use ordinary garden soil thoroughly mulched with sand and well decayed cow manure. The soil must be well drained.
Water: Water during growth period and stop watering when the foliage turns yellow then let the bulb go dormant.

Pot culture: Use 8 inches pot to plant one bulb for proper growth.
