Caladium Carolyn Whorton is a tuberous perennial with large heart-shaped pink leaves adorned red veining and dark green margin. It is prized highly for its decorative leaves. This luminous foliage is a real workhorse as it can tolerate more sun than most caladium is terrific to brighten borders and containers. Carolyn Whorton can grow up to 18-24 inches high and 45-60cm wide. It also makes an excellent house plant.

Planting Media: Use ordinary garden soil thoroughly mulched with sand and well decayed cow manure. The soil must be well drained.
Water: When leaves appear on the plant, water as needed to keep the soil evenly moist. Never let the plant dry out. Stop watering the plant when the leaves start to die back. Resume watering when the leave reappear next season.
Sunlight: The caladium prefers indirect light or moderate shade indoors. The narrower the leaves, the greater the sun it can withstand. Growing them outdoors in containers gives you more control over light conditions. In some climates, container plants can be grown in full sun, with careful monitoring.
Pot culture: Use 8 inches pot for a single bulb for proper growth.
