About:
Crinum ellen bosanquet is still considered one of the finest crinum lilies for the home garden and it belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family. It produces a big display of lush strap-like foliage and then shoots up a sturdy tall stem topped with a fanfare of large trumpet blooms. Like all crinums, Crinum ‘Ellen Bosanquet’ bulbs sometimes take a year to establish before putting on this incredible display, but it’s well worth the wait. They produce large fabulous new shade of deep crimson pink flowers on 2′ stalks, emitting a delightful spicy fragrance. The rosette of wavy, glossy, tropical-looking foliage is a great addition to the garden, even without the flowers.
