About:
Hedera helix, also known as English ivy (variegated), is an ornamental rampant clinging vine which is evergreen in nature and can grow up to 20 to 30 meters high. This climbing plant produces leaves which are 50 to 100 mm long, containing five-lobed juvenile leaves on creeping and climbing stems. English Ivy variegated has green leaves with yellow creamy borders which are very catching and exuberant to look at.
Flowering season: N/A
Planting Media: Soilrite mix would be a perfect planting medium for all kinds of plants. If required pebbles (1-1.5cm) can be added to the mix to make sure the planting medium is well drained.
Water: English ivy prefers moist, humid conditions, but does not like to be soaking wet or waterlogged. Don’t let the soil dry out and keep it evenly moist. Your English ivy can tolerate minimal drought-like conditions but will produce the most vibrant color in evenly moist soil.
Sunlight: In both winter and summer, English ivy requires bright light. That being said, you should avoid exposing the vines to direct sunlight in summer, when the weather is already hot and the strong sun could burn the foliage. In winter, plants can accept a bit of direct sunlight, such as when placed in south-facing windows.
