Hedychium ellipticum also known as the ‘Shaving Brush Ginger, gets its common name from its wedge-shaped tightly-compacted and distinctively-truncated and flattened umbelliforme inflorescence. These bear stunning cream-white flowers which have highly exquisite and delicate stamens extended outwards with very beautiful soft-orange colored anthers. The large foliage is very beautiful and prominent ribbed and edged with darkish-red coloration at the leaf-base. It is an excellent variety of bulbous plant used for landscaping in cooler areas.

Planting Media: Use ordinary garden soil thoroughly mulched with sand and well decayed cow manure. The soil must be well drained.
Water: Water regularly and thoroughly whenever the surface of soil is dry. Keep the soil moist and avoid overwatering.
Sunlight: It prefers full sunlight but can also be kept in partly shaded place of your garden.
Pot culture: Use a 12 inches pot to plant one rhizome for proper growth.
