Mammillaria Longimamma is a slow growing species which is solitary in nature forming dense clusters up to 15 cm or more in width with 10-30 branches. This plant has a round globular shape stem with woolly bristles. Longimamma grows without difficulty when supplied with a required amount of water and ventilation. Watering needs to be carefully monitored and only done when the soil is dry to touch and not in the winter season. If kept outside it requires the afternoon shade, and bright light if kept inside.
Flowering Season: Summer
Planting Media: Use soilrite mix thoroughly mixed with sand and pebbles (1-1.5cm). The soil mixture must be well drained.
Water: Water once a week only when the soil is dry. Avoid watering in the winter season.
Sunlight: It requires bright indirect light if kept indoors and afternoon shade if kept outdoors.
