About:
Rebutia muscular also known as little mouse orange snowball is a globular, clump forming and sun loving cactus which flowers profusely in spring to early summer. The species name “muscular” means mouse like referring to the fine fur like coating of spines. The dense spines protect it from the extremes of cold and sunshine. Orange flowers are funnel-shaped with floral tubes that often extend and curve upwards over the plant. They are fairly easy to grow and recommended for beginners.
Flowering Season: The orange flowers bloom heavily in summer.
Planting Media: Use soilrite mix thoroughly mixed with sand and pebbles (1-1.5cm). The soil mixture must be well drained.
Water: Average water needed – They are well adapted to drought and able to store water within their structure to ensure survival during dry periods. Hence allow the pot to dry out between watering. Never let your cactus sit in a dish of water.
Sunlight: It prefers full sun to partial shade.
