About:
Curio Herreanus also known as ‘String of Watermelon’ is a stunning succulent with trailing stems and egg shaped leaves which are green in color, lined with fine dark green or purple stripes. As the plant matures you can expect them to reach up to 30 cm (12″) long. The plants main feature are the watermelon like leaves that grow along the green stem. When the plant matures you can expect it to produce white flowers from spring.
Planting Media: Use soilrite mix thoroughly mixed with sand and pebbles (1-1.5cm). The soil mixture must be well drained.
Water: The best way to water succulents is with the “soak and dry” method. Soak the soil completely then let the soil dry out completely before watering again. And make sure the succulents are in a well-draining soil in a pot with a drainage hole.
Sunlight: String of Watermelon needs strong light. When planting this succulent type in a garden, make sure it gets sunlight. Full to partial sun is the best for its growth. It is better to grow outdoor rather than indoors.
