Tuberose also known as Polianthes tuberose is one of the most important tropical ornamental bulbous flowering plants cultivated for production of long lasting flower spikes. It is popularly known as Rajanigandha or Nishigandha. It belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family. This bulb produces tall flower spikes with numerous tubular blooms and a fragrance that is rich, sultry and seductive. Give your lots of tuberose sun, heat and time. Planting Media: Use ordinary garden soil thoroughly mulched with sand and well decayed cow manure. The soil must be well drained.
Water: Water generously after planting until plants sprouts. Keep the soil fairly dry, but water before it dries out fully. After sprouting you can give the bulb moderate watering on a regular basis throughout the growth period.
Sunlight: It prefers full bright direct sunlight but can also tolerate partly shaded places.
Pot culture: Use 8 inches pot to plant 3 bulbs keeping even spaces.
