Eucharis amazonica commonly called White Amazon lily, is a bulbous tropical plant of the Amaryllis family. It produces clusters (3-6 flowers each) of waxy, white, daffodil-like (triandrus) flowers which bloom atop stems to 18-24 inches tall. Its flowers are fragranced and have similar shape to that of daffodils. Its glossy, oval to elliptic, long-petioles leaves are evergreen and rather attractive to look at when flowers are not in bloom. This variety is also grown commercially for cut flowers.

Available Month: January to March
Planting Media: Use ordinary garden soil thoroughly mulched with sand and well decayed cow manure. The soil must be well drained.
Water: Water judiciously till new growth starts. Keep the soil moist.
Sunlight: Prefers bright light but not direct sunlight.
Pot culture: Use 8 inches pot for each bulb. You need to plant bulbs vertically covering the entire bulb at least 3 inch below the soil.
